Bath time fun!

I don't think we ever outgrow "bathtime" fun. At least my Matthew doesn't. He loves to take a bubble bath. We have a "Jacuzzi" bathtub and Matt just loves to dump bubble bath in it and have some fun. Well, we have not done this in awhile, because I hate the mess it makes, but yesterday I gave in. I thought, what's alittle bubbles on the floor"? Well, there were bubbles all over the place but Matt had fun!

Thank God he doesn't ask to take a bubble bath every day!
He is the only kid I know that loves to pose in the bathtub! Even Big Sister Brianna got in with her clothes on but did not want her picture taken.

A weekend Away!

Ed and I went away this weekend to the Penn Jersey Pastor & Spouse Retreat in Lancaster, PA. We had a great time away. It was great to see some old friends that we knew before leaving the district 5 years ago. Friday night was a comedy hour and they got our DS up to do an Improv. skit. Here is Dr. Wood playing the skit. What a sport!

Here is the team that does the comedy. What a great time of good fun and laughs.
Well, I must say that Penn Jersey sure took care of their pastors. When Ed and I walked into our room we thought it was a mistake! It was not a room, but a 2 bedroom suite! The first thing he said was "We should of brought the kids with us". Sorry kids, this was our weekend alone. We were so spoiled with 3 beds, 2 flat screen tv's a kitchen and a telephone in the bathroom. Every mom's dream!!

Overall, we had a great time getting to know knew faces and catching up with some old friends. It was a great time of relaxing and spending time with each other and GOD.

The New ME!!

Ed has been bugging me to dye my hair darker for so long now....I finally did it and love it. My natural color is light brown to begin with, but started going lighter and lighter about 5 years ago in Michigan when it started getting greyer and greyer. So I finally got the nerve up to go out and by the box "el Loreal", and I love it!! I was so sick of the blonde and in the summer it would turn almost white on me. Send me your comments....be nice now!!

The color actually has some red in it which I really liked.

Lorraine, these are for you!! I finally did it!

Just a before picture.....which one do you like better? Remember to be nice. Now all I have to do is cut the hair just alittle shorter in the back and I will be fine. My kids are so funny because Matthew has never even seen me with dark hair and he just looks and laughs, Peter went "OH MY" and my sweetheart of a daughter said "Mom you look great" I love that girl. Oh, my husband, he loves it! I THINK!

Happy Birthday Mom!

Mom celebrated her 71st Birthday on Sunday. We all took her and dad out to Texas Roadhouse in PA. There were 16 of us all together.

After we were all done eating the waitress came out with the "saddle" and announced Mom's birthday! She was alittle embarassed but had fun anyway going along with it.

Mom, dad, Bri, LuAnn, Angela, Amanda Dave and Lorraine. Sorry, this picture did not come out that clear due to the sun shinning. The rest of the group was on the other side. It was a great family time together. We love you mom, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY"!

"Ladies' Nite Out"

Friday night was "Ladies' Nite Out" at my house. I got rid of Ed and Peter and had a girls night out plus Matthew, only because he was not feeling well. There were a total of 18 ladies and 4 teenager girls that showed up. Here is Marsha and Eleanor hanging out by the food!! And there was plenty of that.

Darlene, Susan and Flo sitting around telling stories about their most embarrasing moment. We did this as an ice breaker which was suppose to last about 1/2 hour and lasted about 2 1/2 hours. We sure did learn alot about each other Friday night. But like I told the ladies...."What's said here, stays here"!! We had such a great time of fellowship and fun together. It lasted till 12:00am when Flo & Darlene were the last ones to leave.

Here is "Granny" (Linda Sutton). What a woman!! and Darlene sitting on the couch. Most of the ladies were gone by this time and of course I forgot to take my camera out earlier. We had so much fun that they want to do it again so we can watch the video that I bought. Next time ladies!

And here are the teenagers (except Matt) hanging out in Bri's room. Her purple room which she has been wanting for many years and finally got. Josie, Dorothy, Emily and Brianna had a great time also.

Friends are Forever!

I finally got to see my 2 dearest friends from NJ!! I have been back for 6 months and we finally got together at Matthew's birthday party on Saturday. Ilem (far left) and I have been best friends since 2nd grade! That's about ????? years. Lourdes (middle) and I have been friends since college days. We worked together in Shop Rite while going to college. The last time I saw them was 2-3 years ago when I visited for the holiday at my parents house. It was so great to see them and catch up on old times. Let's get together again soon!

This is my older sister LuAnn. She had a vein bypass in December and has been in a wheel chair for about 2 weeks now. She had been very sick and may loose her toes or possibly foot. She has PAD in her right leg, also known as "Peripheral Artery Disease" very common in smokers. She is not smoking anymore!!! Please pray for her!

Brianna, Victoria (middle) and Angelica (left). Angelica is mine and Ed's goddaughter. Ilem (my best friends daughter). Victoria (middle) is Lourdes daughter. Brianna is MINE!!! and of course how could I forget the dog.....SHADOW! The girls had a great time hanging out.

This is so cool. This is my neice Vincenza looking thru a blue balloon. I think she looks like an alien.

My "baby" sister Lorraine and her husband Dave. They are expecting their 2nd baby in August.

Happy Birthday Matthew!

Today my "baby" turned 8 years old. Where did all the years go. I can still remember him being born. We thought he would be a girl, but SURPRISE!! another boy!! He is our little prayer warrior in the house and wants to be a "Pastor" when he grows up!! A Worship Pastor he says. The other day he said, "Now that I am older I get to stay up later" I said ok, 5 minutes sounds good to me. He was happy with that!

Here is Matthew with his cousin Vincenza. He was reading his library book to her.

Matt had a Spiderman birthday party. He has not had a party in 5 years with the family. Living out in Michigan the past 5 years we only did something small with the 5 of us. So this year we had everyone over. He had a ball, and so did Vincenza.

Matt and Vincenza posing for the camera before we light the candles!

This cake was so cool. I usually always make an ice cream cake for the kids birthday parties, but this year Ed wanted something different and so did Matt. So we decided on Spiderman, and he was a hit!

Happy Birthday my little stinker. Mom & Dad love you so much!!

Happy New Year !

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Yes, I know I'm a week late, but life around the Torres home has been alittle crazy. We spent our New Years nice and quiet this year and was in bed by 12:15. We first went out for Japannese which we just love and then Bri and Peter went out to friends houses. They sure are getting older, they don't want to stay at home on "New Years Eve" with mom & dad....that's boring! It was boring to me at their age also. So it was me, Ed and Matthew!!

As you can see my Bri Bri has made the girls basketball team at school. She is loving it....she is an awesome player to!

Just another shot of Bri waiting patiently for the ball!!!

Matthew got bored during Chistmas break and wanted to have a play day with his buddy Matthew S. from school. Trying having 2 Matthew's in your house at one time!! Anyway they had a great time together hanging out. He felt like his big brother and sister having a friend over.

Even the dog was tired after the holiday. I just couldn't resist this picture!! He is such a good dog, even though his hair drives Ed crazy!!!!

I hope you all had a great holiday and are back to your normal schedules. If you are like me, I live by schedules. So when they are interupted it drives me crazy!!

We are looking forward to what God has for us and our new church in 2008!! There are good changes taking place and we are getting to know more and more about the community. Ed went to a new chiropractor today for the first time and after talking awhile, the doctor wants to donate a power gym to our church and do some clinics on strength training. The funny thing is is that we have the perfect place for it. Our second garage which is huge and is suppose to be used for ministry will be perfect! We are also having a "facelift" done in our church....we are in the process of painting right now and decorating the stage. WE ARE EXCITED!!! GOD IS GOOD!!!

Chat with you soon!!
