HAPPY BIRTHDAY HONEY!!!

Today Ed celebrated his 48th birthday and since it was on "Youth" night, they made sure they celebrated with him. They wrapped him in duct tape after singing happy birthday. Tonight was also "Deal or No Deal" vs "Fear Factor". He is "Howie Mandell", I like him better with hair!!

Here was some of the "cuisine" the kids had to eat if they made "No Deal"! Cow tongue, fish eggs, pig snout, heart of the beast, and authentic dung!! Nobody threw up, but was very close to it. This was some pretty gross stuff. The kids loved it though. We had a total of 33, 23 being teens....PRAISE THE LORD!!! The kids are loving it and so is Ed!!

Peter was the last contestant and got pretty far until he had to eat the "pig snout" he just couldn't do it anymore to go on. He quit and when his box was checked, he gave up winning $100.00. Maybe next time Peter!

The youth group gave Ed a Dan Marino (he loves the Dolphins football team) plaque for his birthday along with a bunch of other Miami Dolphins stuff. Dorothy & Josie even made him a Miami Dolphins birthday cake. Thanks girls!

This is Rich! He was the big winner for the night going home with $100.00. Peter invited him and it was his first time at "youth group". He says he will be coming again!!! He got to eat all the cusine and never got sick!! Way to go Rich!!

Overall it was a great night for "Pulse Youth" and for Ed. They even wrapped his car with seran wrap, just like they did in Michigan. It must be a teenager thing!!

This cake was homemade by Shelly's aunt. Ms. Susann did all the delicious cooking for the shower and much more. Bri and I stayed at the Haupt's for the weekend and got spoiled. Thanks guys....we love you!!!

Jen, Karen and Terri hanging out at my table. It was so good to see friends again from Michigan. Wish I could of stayed longer, but home is in NJ now!! See you all in November!!

The shower was at CWC. The tables were decorated in beautiful fall colors which Shelly adores. Miss Susann hooked her up. She did an awesome job with all the decorations and food. Thanks for all you did Susann. We will have so much fun at the wedding together....can't wait!!

What an awesome time with some good ol friends from Michigan. Bill will be preaching on Sunday morning and on Sunday night the church is having a dinner for us in honor of "Pastor Appreciation" lots of surprises in store for Ed, I will let you know next week what happened. It is a surprise!!!

A visit from the Villa's

Tim & Judy Villa came to visit us from Illinois on
Monday. They are some old time friends of ours

from Stroudsburg, PA. They were up in PA for
a wedding and came by for a visit. It was great to
see you guys. I think it has been about 6-7 years
since we last saw them. Judy worked with me in
the church office in Stroudsburg and Tim was a
mentor to Ed. A geat one at that!!! We sure had
some great times together and it was great to
catch up again.

Thanks for lunch at Cracker Barrel. We love you
and hope to see you both soon when you are up
this way again.

Me a Teacher!!

Well, today I started my first Sunday school class for the ladies. We are doing a Beth Moore series "Jesus the One and Only". If you have never taken a Beth Moore class before, I encourage you to invest time and do one of her studies. She is awesome!!

We had 13 ladies in class with about 5 more coming next week. Praise God!! I am co-teaching with Judy and Lynne and they make it alot easier. I have never led a Sunday school class before and I told Ed when we moved here that I am not leading a class and I am not leading "Womens Ministry". Well, God had other plans for me!!! I should know better than to say "I AM NOT"!! HE told me you are doing a Sunday school class!!! I am blessed to have this opportunity to share with the ladies in a group.

If you think of me, remember to pray for me and the ladies in the class each week!!

Till next post!!!

What A Week!

We had the Stand Strength Team in last week for a 5 day outreach crusade. We had them in Michigan at CWC about 3 times when we were there. Well, they are bigger and better than ever. God truly was working in the lives of the people that came each night. Here is Terry/"Shrek", "Big Buck" on the left and Joe on the far right. He is new!!

Here is Jerry/"Jack Hammer"! He is 19 years old and is a baby christian of 6 months and is so on fire for the Lord! Ed decided to give him a Mohawk haircut on Saturday night.

Here is one of the feasts of strengths that they do. Bryan/"Ironman" lifted these guys with his legs. Ed is on this lift, he is on the far left half sitting down. It was close to 800lbls that "Ironman" lifted.

Big Buck and Shrek setting up for Sunday night!

Believe it or not, this is my husband breaking bricks with his arm. This is the first time in the history of the Strength Team that they let anyone else up on the stage to break things. They loved Ed so much they offered him a job. Well, he does need to buff up just a little bit first!

What an awesome week we had! Many people came each night and accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior. Lives were changed from the ministry that the Stand Team provided. If you have never seen these guys, you do not know what you are missing. They look big and mean but they have the most gentle spirit you can imagine. I must say, they do eat ALOT!!! We were so tired by the time Sunday came around, but we were so blessed. We can't wait till next year!!
God bless each and everyone of you who played a part in this Outreach for the Community!!
